Join us at the Irish Writers' Centre on Friday 24th September as we throw open our doors for an evening of free literary activities from 5pm. Here is the evening's programme:
5pm
Open House at the Centre with a book sale, exhibition of paintings, refreshments, a Poetree and the chance to add to our Never-Ending Story.
7pm
Author Catherine Dunne launches her new novel Missing Julia in the Centre's impressive Reading Room. Catherine will read from the book and there will be copies on sale.
9pm
The Words on the Wind Writing Group will entertain the public with a poetry reading. The group meets at the Centre weekly to work on their poetry and you can find out more about them here>>>>
10pm
We are delighted that Irish-born poet Kate Evans who lives and works in Newfoundland, Canada is with us this evening to read from her poetry collection entitled Where Old Ghosts Meet.
10.30pm
To finish off the evening's entertainment, writer and radio presenter Brendan Nolan presents Hold Your Hour and Have Another: Dublin Writers and Stories.
